A Gold Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn; the baseline requirement is 80 hours of work and key components of community involvement. I've worked on both a Silver Award ("Save the Bats" project, 2017) and a Bronze Award (Potting Plants for the Environmental Center, 2014) and am excited to take on this biggest girl scout project yet!

In creating this documentary, I aim to create an educational tool that our local environmental center can use to teach its visitors about how prescribed burns are used and how they benefit Alexander’s Meadow. I hope to share it with community members, from elementary school students to adults, to help teach about the Somerset County Environmental Center's use of prescribed burns. Feel free to reach out!
